Geography

At St. Anne's, children are encouraged and inspired to investigate the world around them, from the Bailiwick to the global environment.

By starting with the world in which they live; their routes to school, their communities, our school, children will develop a widening sense of how people and places are connected and can be interdependent.

By identifying and respecting what we have in common, what makes us different and how we organise ourselves in different communities, children will learn about themselves and others; including the impact their actions and decisions have on the planet and understand the importance of developing a sustainable future.

By encouraging pupils to be confident about exploring the world beyond the Bailiwick, knowing where they live and where they might be going next, aims to help our pupils make sense of their place in the world as responsible, active and informed citizens.
